During your time at University, there'll be lots of people on hand to help and support you. You should spend some time during your first few weeks familiarising yourself with who you can contact should you need any help.
Every student has access to a personal tutor, who will be your first point of contact if you experience any problems. Your tutor will likely be a member of academic staff from within your degree programme, and they can help you on academic matters, as well as direct you to any wellbeing support you may need.
During your first year, you'll have access to a peer mentor, who will be a student volunteer from your course. They can help to guide you through your first year, offering advice about university life.
Module leaders can help you with any academic problems you have, as well as give you advice on your studies and feedback on your work. Academic members of staff will have dedicated office hours, during which you can contact them to ask any queries.
Your DPD is responsible for the structure of your course, as well as the academic standards. If you wish to transfer course, withdraw, or interrupt your studies, you should speak to your DPD.
