Date/Time: Tuesday 24 October, 15:00 - 17:00
Venue: Partners' Room 8.10, Newcastle University Business School
The “Young Marketers 4 the North East” is a project giving Newcastle University students the chance to create advertisements for local businesses. The introductory session will be on Tuesday 24 October, 15:00 - 17:00 in the Partners' Room, 8.10.
The project has three objectives:
- support students’ professional development and improve employability prospects, by providing an opportunity to apply marketing theories taught in class to real projects
- support local businesses' marketing needs (especially SMEs who do not have in-house marketing and communications teams)
- offer a creative way for students to engage with local businesses and potentially develop a more in-depth and wider relationship with them.
Students will be able to form their own teams, and will be tasked with creating a 1 minute Youtube video advert and a 300dpi resolution print advert (20.5X29cm).
Adverts will need to be submitted by 15:00 on Tuesday 31 October and the awards ceremony will take place at 17:00 on Friday 3 November, in the Partners' Room, 8.10.
