Part of the Brexit Insight Series with Dr Michael Lloyd
Date/Time: Thursday 19 April, 17:00 - 18:00
Venue: Room 4.20, Newcastle University Business School
This lecture series aims to provide a continuous insight into the positions and motivations of the two principal actors involved in the Brexit process - the EU 27, via the European Commission and European Parliament, representing the governments of the EU 27. The lectures will centre on the progress being made, or not being made, in the Article 50 process and dialogue.
Dr Michael Lloyd, visiting fellow in economics, has considerable EU political and economic experience, both working within and outside the two main EU institutions, the European Commission and the European Parliament.
This lecture will explore a number of likely scenarios for the UK in its relations, including trade, with both the EU and other important countries with which the UK will be seeking to have close trading and other relationships. Some assessment of the likely relationships will be made.
