Council hands over Public Parks to New Charitable Trust

In response to budget cuts, Newcastle City Council moves to be the first in the UK to hand over the running of 33 public parks and 60 allotments to a new charitable trust.   Clive Davies, Visiting Fellow, speaks with BBC Radio 4 regarding the history of Leazes Park in Newcastle and the possible future challenges of this decision.
