hobby architecture + the architecture of hobbies

This exhibition presents a compilation of visual material that constitutes the creative production of James Longfield’s PhD by creative practice in Architecture, undertaken in the School. The thesis and accompanying drawings, films, fanzines and constructions explore the possibilities of architectural practice as a situated practice, aided by an ongoing investigation of Byker’s hobby rooms and the hobby practices of residents within the area.
The exhibition opening is on 9 February 16.00 - 19.00 and the exhibition is open from 9 - 11 February 10.00 - 16.00 daily.
